Mommy told Paddington and me that we would be going to the Book Review (a bookstore) to review the cafe. When we got to the bookstore we got pet a lot by shoppers. Everyone loved us. We went to the cafe inside. Mommy got a pumpkin muffin and Chai Tea. She gave each of us a taste of the muffin. I thought it was delicious, but Mommy thought it was just ok.

Mommy asked the women behind the counter for some water for us. She gave us two cups of water. It was hard to drink out of the cup but the water was refreshing. After we were done eating we wondered around the bookstore and on our way out a women behind the counter at the bookstore gave us each a dog treat... Yum

It looks like my charm and wisdom... and love of food is rubbing off on my new brother Paddington. He came home the other day and told me he had a review. A REVIEW! Can you believe it?! I felt a little proud. Now, don't get me wrong, I still am thoroughly annoyed by my pest of a brother, but at least he is doing something productive. Plus, Mommy said I had to post the review...

So here it goes:

Paddington: I was so excited when I heard that I was going to travel with Mommy! I would hate to have been left alone! Then, I realized how stressful traveling is. It's scary for a little dog in a big airport. Luckily, when we landed in Chicago's O'Hare Airport, Mommy said we could eat lunch together since I was do hungry. Mommy found a dog friendly restaurant INSIDE the airport. What a find!! We went to Tuscany & they had seating that was on a porch in the terminal.  Mommy had a glass of wine and some cheese. Everyone was so nice to me.  They gave me a cup of water and even brought me a slice of turkey. Everyone pet me to make me feel less scared.  I had a lot of fun- it was a great place to stop and get a snack.

I had such a great time at Urge! It's a gay bar... a bit of a dive, but there were some really cute guys there (or so mommy says). I met David, my new BFF, who picked me up and held me the entire time. The bartender gave me a water bowl while Mommy and her friend sipped on super cheap cocktails (buy one get one free). Everyone was very friendly and I got lots and lots of attention. We went on a week night, so the scene was pretty chill, but I heard that it may not be so dog-friendly on Friday or Saturday night when it gets more crowded. Also, I heard a rumor that there are sometimes scantily clad go-go dancers on the bar.

My parents and sister took me out to weekend brunch one fine, sunny Sunday at a popular new Chelsea restaurant located in spot that used to house the Empire Diner. The hostess told us that I had to sit beyond the fence outdoors. Fair enough as there was a nice table close to the fence. My sister asked the waitress for a doggie water bowl. She looked surprised and told us she would have to ask her manager whether she could get us one. I was very thirsty because the sun was shining brightly and it was hot outside. My sister had to remind the waitress to bring me water and when she finally brought it, she only gave me a little cup-sized paper soup bowl filled with water but without any ice cubes! My sister ordered the Mac and Cheese, which was delicious, and a glass of champagne ($18 for the champagne seemed rather high for my parents). My mother ordered an egg dish with vegetables and goat cheese that was very tasty and my father ordered a hamburger with French fries. I tasted all the food and liked the hamburger best, although the portion size was rather small for $14.95. We didn't go inside, but we were told that the décor is trendy. The highlight of the brunch for me was when two children came over to play with me towards the end of the meal. Before then, I felt rather ostracized sitting by myself beyond the fence.

Mommy took me to D.B.A., which is a bar in the East Village. Everyone welcomed me with open arms. Mommy got a beer (they have an extensive beer selection) and I got a bowl of water... a REAL bowl, not one of those dinky plastic things. The night got a little heated when I realized that there is a cat that lives there. Mommy had to hold me back from chasing the cat, and it took all my will not to bark. However, the bartender did offer to put the cat in the office, which was very nice of her. So, if you hate cats (or like to chase them) this may not be the place for you. Mommy says that since I refrained myself we will get to go back again! Yay!

Overall, I had a great time and would highly recommend this place to all my doggie buddies.

This neighborhood dive bar was a good break from the cold, but it certainly isn't the place to order a cosmo.

We stopped in this alphabet city bar to get away from the frigid temps outside. It was pretty empty, although it was the middle of the day on a Saturday. There weren't any TVs so we couldn't watch sports, but they did have some bar games and a pool table. The bartender gave me a cute, special doggy bowl with fresh water and was very friendly and accommodating. Mommy said that the drinks were also pretty cheap. We also heard from the bartender that they have a killer jukebox and it's always easy to find seating.

This is a great dog-friendly bar if you're in the neighborhood and looking for something cheap & low-key.

Dogs are allowed in the covered outdoor area during summer & wintertime - but the hostess advised us that patrons should call ahead to make sure the outdoor area is open, as it depends on the weather. During the winter there are heat lamps, so it is quite warm. Mommy got brunch and I had some pork sausage, which was FABULOUS! (Mommy liked the pork sausage too.) The restaurant staff was super friendly and bought a waterbowl for me as soon as we got there.

I got to go inside because it was chilly out. This bar kind of a dive, but the bartender was great and a dog lover. The service was fast and the drinks were cheap. The bartender gave me a chicken strip doggy treat and a real water bowl! As a dog, I got served before my human friends, which is the way it should be. I also got lots of pets from the staff. My mommy said that the bathrooms were nice and clean despite the fact that the bar was a little dirty.

This is a little dive-ish but not too dirty. It is a sports bar with TVs to watch the game. I was allowed inside the bar, as there is no kitchen.

Customers are allowed to bring in outside food (we brought in pizza). I loved the atmosphere here because I got lots of attention! As the only dog at the bar, people were taking turns spending time with me and giving me tidbits of food… (I got French fries and a bite of a burger. YUM) I made lots of new human friends at B Side and I can't wait to go again!!

Mommy and I went to La Bottega, which is the Italian restaurant at the Maritime Hotel. There is lots of outdoor seating, some of which is covered, so it's great for a hot day when you don't want to sit in the sun! On that day, it was really hot out, so we got drinks first. I got a ceramic yellow water bowl.... and they even put ice in it! Mommy had a cocktail, and she said it was really good.

The waiter came over several times to check on how I was doing. I was having a great time because I got to meet lots of other dogs. We finally decided to order a Margherita pizza. It was so yummy! I kept begging for more

The other day we went for Thai food in Chelsea. We ate outside, and the waiter immediately gave me a bowl of water in a take-out plastic container. They even put ice in it. The guy at the table next to me let me have some of his calamari.... I had never had calamari before, but I loved it.

My sister had Regional Thai Ginger Chicken.... She thought it was great, but a little spicy for me.

Overall I really had fun at this restaurant, and was glad I was able to try some new food.

I am told this is a place where celebrity dogs hang out, but even though I didn't see any, the service was great. The waitress was so nice. She hugged me. She brought me a huge official dog water bowl of water with ice- it was very hot out. They must have a lot of special dog bowls because the dog next to me had the same one.

I had eggs and bacon. It was very Yummy!!! I ate it all up. At the end I got a doggy treat. Overall this is one of the most dog friendly places I have been in the city.

The other day my parents and their guests took me to Gilbert's Chowder House in Portland Maine.

Gilbert's has been in operation for many years and is visited by fisherman and dockworkers as well as locals and visitors to Portland. My party and I were invited to sit on the back patio facing the water. Immediately I made friends with the children at the table next to me. The waitress, as she brought our table menus brought me a water bowl, even before my human table mates even received their water. I enjoyed the broiled haddock and the fried scallops. But my favorite was the clam chowder served in a bread bowl. I kept asking my father for more chowder soaked bread. It was the best.

I went to Boothbay Harbor the other day. It was alot of fun because the whole town is very dog friendly. We went to one of the local restaurants the Lobster Dock. Although I wasnt allowed into the regular outdoor eating area, I got to sit in a designated dog area. The table next to me even had cute girl dogs.

The nice waitress brought me a bowl of water. My sister had a Fried Fresh Fish Sandwich, but they made it baked for me, and it was quite yummy. My Daddy had Fried Clam Roll, but I didnt like that. Clams are just not my thing. Everyone was very nice. Overall this is a very dog friendly place.

Bobby Flay had a throwdown here for crabcakes, but we were not in the mood for crabcakes. We'll have to try them next time...

Last week I took a trip to Maine with my parents to their summer vacation home. They took me and my cousin Ryan to Red's Eats which supposedly has the best lobster roll in the State. Although the staff was very attentive and brought me a water bowl even while we waited in line, lobster just is not my thing. Nonetheless it is clear that Red's Eats is dog friendly. My parents assure me that the lobster roll at Red's is the best. Ryan ate his lobster roll and half of my mother's. But, my trip was not in vain. I met a celebrity dog at Red's Eats----Bear from the HBO movie "The 12 Dogs of Christmas". We immediately hit it off and became friends. Together we took it upon ourselves to guard Red's Eats against cat, squirrel and chipmunk intrusions.

After my sister, her friend, and I finished my walk on Popham Beach in Phippsburg Maine, we stopped off at Percy's Store to get a bite to eat. Percy's has been a fixture on Popham Beach since the early 1900's. According to the Percy's web site the store was built from the materials from a hotel that was torn down on the site. The Percy family has owned and run the Store since 1969. Over time hours of the Store which is open only from April or May to October or November have expanded from part time to full time and the offerings have expanded so that currently in addition to groceries, sundries and souvenirs, the Store is a casual dining spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Percy's is a favorite eating spot for my family and the locals.

Although there is an official water bowl in front of the store, we walked in from the back and I was a little pooped so my sister got me water. The owner was very nice, and I was allowed to sit at the picnic tables outside right on the beach.

I tasted chicken quesadilla and a hamburger. It was very yummy and I couldn't get enough. The owners pet me and were quite nice to me. I liked the whole experience and after a long walk on the beach it is a great lunch place.

Yesterday, I started my vacation. We stopped at Popovers in Portsmouth, New Hampshire which is on the way to my house in Maine. My mother loves this restaurant and it is one of her favorites. Thus, this is not the first time I have visited this restaurant and I always have a good time there. We sat outside and I sat at the table in a chair. I was not the only dog.

The restaurant is located in the middle of Portsmouth and the dog watching is great. I got to try several different items from the menu. Although I liked them all I liked the Monte Crisco Panini best. It had lots of ham in it.

The service was good, but there are no waiters or waitresses. My parents had to get my food inside. One server came out and pet me though. They didn't have an official dog water bowl so I had to drink my water out of a paper soup cup. I prefer an official dog bowl.

I had to go early because we didn’t have reservations for brunch.  It was a little cloudy out and looked like it was going to rain.  So they put an umbrella over us because they didn’t want me to get wet.  I got a special metal dog bowl with ice and a special dog plate.

I had egg and cheese with sausage. The sausage was the best I ever had.  It was made in house and was supposedly healthy, but I am not sure.  I was not as well behaved as normal.  I kept begging for more sausage.

The staff was so nice to me.  The maître d kept coming over to see if I was ok.   He thought I was very cute.  Overall a great dog friendly restaurant.

Great location- on a barge overlooking the Hudson River.  I watched all the other dogs walking by including a very cute Cavalier King Charles Spaniel. If you’re that dog please email me, so we can go on a date.

Although, there are no waiters or waitresses my sister brought me a hamburger and a glass of water.  The water cup was not really wide enough for my snout.  But I made do.

The hamburger was quite good, and I couldn’t get enough of it.   Overall this is 4 paws restaurant.

The chair kept collapsing as I am a dog, and fold-up chairs just won't do it. So they brought me a wooden chair from indoors. One waitress even hugged me!!!

I tasted their famous French toast and had some eggs on the side. Although I did not like the French toast that much, my owner found it quite delectable.

The other day I went for Sunday brunch with my parents and sister.

We ate at a table outside.

The staff was attentive, brought me water, and let me sit on a chair while I enjoyed my meal. Although my water was in a tin, not a bowl. I didn't mind. The staff was very friendly and quite outgoing.

I tried three items on the menu: Italian Sausage Frittata, Lasagna Primavera, and Ground Sirloin Lasagna.

I must say my favorite was the Italian Sausage Frittata. The Frittata was well cooked and seasoned, and had plenty of meat.

The Ground Sirloin Lasagna was also delicious, but the Lasagna Primavera.... The Lasagna Primavera was dry and much too bland for my liking, and had no meat!
